Taken at Castelo de São Jorge, Lisbon, Portugal, December 2016.
I absolutely adored the fallen-down, over-growing feeling of this courtyard. The whole thing reminded me, in the best way, of a scene in Tamora Pierce’s Will of the Empress, set in an old hunting lodge that was the titular empress’ first garden.
This has long been one of my favorite photos I have ever taken.
